Kaii Tu is a designer working across disciplines and industries, from furniture to interactive experiences, to household products you can find on supermarket shelves today. What unites his diverse designs is a blending of analytical thinking and craft, supported by an investigation into the histories and contextual narratives behind objects and actions alike. He was recently named a 2012 Windgate Fellow, one of the largest awards in art and design in the United States, and was the 2012 winner of the Wilsonart Design Challenge. Kaii has exhibited nationally, including the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York, NeoCon in Chicago, and San Francisco Design Week.
Kaii graduated summa cum laude from Harvard University with a degree in Visual and Environmental Studies, and continued at Design Academy Eindhoven (Propedeuse) and California College of the Arts, graduating with High Distinction.
